When we started The Rumor Mill at the beginning of July, we were looking for a place to house characters from past communities and a place where we could have fun. We never anticipated the number of people that joined or the fact that people seemed to be so interested in the community, but we were glad for it. The first few months of the game were probably the most fun we’ve had playing in a community (or modding one). But the fact of the matter is that the game isn’t fun anymore. Not for the mods and not for most of the players, either. We’ve dealt with a lot of complaints and a lot of drama and it has killed our enthusiasm for the community. We understood when we started this that there would be all the ups and downs of modding a community, but it’s gotten to the point where the bad seriously outweighs the good and we are no longer interested in keeping this community open. We apologize to those who just recently applied or held characters with us.
To players past and present, you guys for the most part have been really great. We had an amazing group of writers here and we’re sorry to a lot of you that we are closing this community. We wish you the best of luck in all of your future roleplaying endeavors.
